Výstava „Hell’s Angels“ se zaměřuje nejen na strastiplnou roli malíře coby vyslance z vyšších estetických sfér (z řeckého „angelos“ ve smyslu „posel“) v krutém prostředí umění, které dokáže býti skutečným peklem, ale i na otázky spravedlnosti a hříchu v kontextu umění a lidského utrpení, jak je ve své filozofii otevřela Simone Weilová.

„Hell Smoke“ je alternativní galerijní prostor s vazbami na komunitu současného intelektuálního undergroundu. Zaměřuje na výstavy autorů hlásících se k baudelairovské estetice na hraně krajnosti s přesahem do nietzscheovského individualismu, kde osobnost autora je nadřazená dobru i zlu. Podnik pořádá doprovodné akce i pro jiné kulturní subjekty (Chemistry Gallery, Art Space NOV, DOX…) a spolupracuje s progresivními českými umělci na poli výtvarného umění (Jiří Petrbok), hudby (František Štorm) i komiksu (Tomáš Motal).

The exhibition “Hell’s Angels“ focuses not only on the painful role of the painter as an envoy from higher aesthetic spheres (from the Greek “angelos“ meaning “messenger“) in the cruel environment of art, which can be a true hell, but also on the themes of justice and sin in the context of art and human suffering, as questioned in her philosophy by Simone Weil.

“Hell Smoke“ is an alternative gallery space with ties to the Czech intellectual underground community. It focuses on exhibitions by authors who adhere to Baudelairean aesthetics on the edge of extremes, with an overlap into Nietzschean individualism, where the author’s personality is superior to good and evil. “Hell Smoke“ also organizes accompanying events for other cultural entities (Chemistry Gallery, Art Space NOV, DOX…) and collaborates with progressive contemporary artists in the fields of fine arts (Jiří Petrbok),
music (František Štorm) and comics (Tomáš Motal).
