HIDDEN is thrilled to introduce Liza Libenko with her first solo show, which is part of the PETRBLOK series.

Líza Libenko is a painter capturing the unsettling nature of existence, of which the deep dark feeling of intense uncertainty is the artist's game with the reality of the psyche. She works with oil paints and washing out of their layers on the canvas combined with other techniques. Her work explores the relationship between the real and illusory. A common theme of the paintings is death and birth-rebirth and how our civilization is getting lost in the chaos of the artificial world, as if it was denying our devine roots.

In the expressive paintings of Liza Libenko there is no lack of mythological and ritualistic elements; a tribute to traditions, dekadence and magic.
