In his master thesis at the Academy of fine arts in Prague, Hořánek confronted us with his four-meter canvases of monumental objects. At the time, we were unnerved by their monumentality, and figurativeness. Today, the newly incorporated flames raise our pulse. The objects are no longer abandoned but burn with life, suggesting that this is not the last we will hear of Oskar.
