This work stages a visceral tension between surface and depth, outside and inside. The stitched upper layer suggests skin, while the raw red beneath evokes organs and flesh, the body opened, vulnerable, exposed. Rather than a literal act of dissection, the painting meditates on the fragile boundary that separates protection from rupture, containment from release.
