In this somewhat morbid scene, we witness a pagan ritual involving the sacrifice of a goat. Instead of the innocent Agnus Dei (Lamb of God), it is the Devil himself who is offered—embodied in the figure of "Black Philip" as the personification of demonic evil. Even the axe used to execute the animal is black, reinforcing the symbolism of darkness and corruption.
