The result is an unprecedented artistic experiment—66 original pieces created in collaboration between Jiří Petrbok and Kamil Princ, merging the disciplines of painting and poetry in a way that neither artist had previously explored.
Jiří Petrbok, has never before permitted another hand to enter his world of imagery. And certainly not a curator’s. Kamil Princ, however, is not a conventional curator. He is a poet who deconstructs his own texts, slicing and recombining fragments like an alchemist seeking new meaning in the raw material of language. In this project, his words collide with Petrbok’s images in an intense interplay of form and meaning.
The Mozkomor Never Sleeps series emerged from their collaboration—an interplay of precision and spontaneity. Petrbok laid the visual foundation; Princ responded with fragmented poetry, layering words as both commentary and disruption. The process was iterative, with Petrbok re-engaging, reshaping, and refining until both artists reached a point of resolution. Only then did they sign each piece.
Some pieces did not survive the process—four works were deliberately burned during the exhibition’s vernissage, sacrificed to maintain the symbolic number of 66. The act, documented on video, underscores the raw and uncompromising nature of this edition.
