Christ is Risen
HIDDEN AVU
8. 5. 2024 / 2. 6. 2024

We are delighted to present the 4th exhibition at HIDDEN AVU, featuring student of Academy of fine arts in Prague, Liza Ulyanova.

The exhibition is dedicated to Ukrainian Easter. There is an old tradition that women entering the church should cover their heads with a scarf. This tradition signifies that a woman should express modesty and obedience to God and her men. The exhibition does not necessarily prove or deny the significance of this tradition but rather plays with its "aesthetic."

Liza Ulyanova will present her own collection of airbrushed scarves. Some of them are painted based on photographs by the talented Tanya Olifirenko.
