AVU WINTER 2025
This year’s semestral works showcases a dynamic array of works from emerging artists at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, each grappling with the complexities of contemporary existence. From introspective explorations of identity to bold interrogations of societal structures, the pieces on display reflect a generation of creators unafraid to question, disrupt, and reimagine.
Dominik Adamec Studio Visit
We visited the studio of Dominik Adamec in Berlin, where he shared his thoughts on his artistic journey. After winning the BBA Artist Prize 2024, he expressed mixed feelings about the award. We also talked about cis work, which blends natural sciences and philosophy, engages viewers visually but also invites deeper reflection and many more.

As I do every year, I visited the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague to view the students' final projects from the past year. This is the selection of works that stood out to me personally.
Tomáš Němec Studio Visit
We visited two out of Tomáš Němec's three studios, both located in Prague. Remarkably, one of the studios emerged organically within his apartment, gradually spreading across most of the rooms. It's no wonder that painting has become an integral part of his life. Enjoy this studio visit!

As I do every year, I visited the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague to view the students' final projects from the past year. This year was surprisingly strong, and many works caught my attention. The following are selected pieces that impressed me the most.
Eva Maceková Studio Visit

During our visit to Paweł Soczak's studios, we engaged in conversations about his past travels and upcoming adventures, shedding light on the impact of social media on artists sources of inspiration. Furthermore, we delved into the current buzz in Poland's art landscape: Art branding, a phenomenon where brands integrate art to cultivate their image.
