Gallery Life #005 - Garden of remembrance

June 21, 2025

In this episode, I hit the road with Sultán Sade (Hell’s Smoke BBQ) and curator Kamil Princ for a spontaneous summer art trip.

Our main destination was the exhibition Garden of Remembrance (Zahrada vzpomínek) in Chrudim, featuring Liza Libenko, Lucie Hošková, and Jan Štulíř — three artists who all had their first solo shows at HIDDEN Gallery. The exhibition took place at the Výstavní síň in theather of Karel Pippich. Since I missed the opening, I wanted to see it quietly and in person.

On the way, we made a quick stop in Čáslav, where we noticed the Church of St. Peter and Paul rising above the town. Just had to check it out.

After the show, we still had some time, so we visited Anna Krištofíková to see how her preparations were going for her solo exhibition at HIDDEN Bořivojova, opening June 24. She’s painting at home now, since AVU is closed due to diploma installations. Some of her works are already finished and sold, others are still in progress — and more are coming. Then went for a short walk in the woods behind her house. There were blueberries.

The day ended back at the gallery, where I met with clients and did some a few things around Anna’s exhibition.
