Gallery Life #01 – A Busy Day, Three Studios, and a Lost Space

May 14, 2025 – Prague

It was a pretty busy day.

I started by passing HIDDEN Republika — a space where I held my last exhibition about a year ago. I had to leave it because a commercial tenant took over. And yet, even after all this time, the space is still empty. Someone’s paying a huge amount of money just to keep it closed. It feels like such a waste of a beautiful place. I said a few words about it on camera — it still feels close. Then I got to work filming some promo content for the upcoming Sofia Art Fair (this October). The plan was to shoot two artists, maybe three — and in the end, we managed all three.

First, Matěj Pokorný picked me up by car and took me to his studio. We also selected three paintings for HIDDEN Editions, which will be available soon on the website. Next up was Marcela Putnová — such a positive person, and always good to see her. Her energy is warm, easy, and real. Finally, we visited Oskar Hořánek — different energy again, completely unique vibe.

More to come soon — on Thursday, I’m visiting two more artists, but I’ll keep those under wraps for now. Let’s keep some surprises in the mix.
