Karolína Netolická
About
Karolína Netolická (1993, Prague) is a Czech visual artist working primarily with soft pastel drawing and sculptural objects. Her work explores the relationship between the human body and the non-human world — examining how physicality, landscape, and organic forms overlap, and how our perception of nature is reshaped by the artificial materials and symbols of contemporary culture. Motifs such as barrier tapes, textiles, or plastic coverings appear as metaphors for protection, vulnerability, and shifting boundaries.
Netolická is considered one of the notable voices of the youngest generation of Czech artists. Her drawings are recognized for their delicate materiality and strong atmosphere, blending quiet intimacy with subtle tension. In 2022, she received 1st Prize in the Critics’ Award for Young Painting, placing her among the most prominent emerging artists on the Czech art scene. Her work has been presented in galleries both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
